Professional certification may be obtained after completion of the Academy. Submission of the Test Documentation Booklet, and a certification fee of $95 for each level is required for certification.
FSTS certification is accredited by both national and international accrediting bodies.

When do the academies run? Academies are offered several times per year from March through October.
Where is the Academy held? Charles Carrico Regional Training Center, 1900 9th Street South, Great Falls, MT
Why attend the Academy? The concentrated program the academies use enhances the training in context methods.

*Medical Release to be completed within 6 weeks of the first day of the Academy.
The Academy is filled on a first come first serve basis.
Cost: Non-Refundable Registration Fee $30 Tuition- $950* (includes one meal per day) PPE rental- $100
Essentials Manual - $75 New 5th Edition Gold that includes Haz Mat Operations.

*If you are not a member of a Montana fire service organization, tuition will be $1,950.
Schedule: Generally 0730 to 2030, however several evenings may go until 2200.
Expect assignments each night in preparation for the next day’s training or testing.
Personal Protective Equipment: Participants are expected to bring PPE, including leather gloves, helmet, hood, boots, bunker pants, coat, earplugs, and knee pads. Gear is available to rent at a cost of $100.
