Report from March MMA -

We had a good MMA meeting.  About 50 people, including guests from WA, ND, I'd, and VA.

We learned about mutual aid in those states and discussed opportunities between the states.

We learned about incident call centers from Missoula and Flathead Counties. 

We learned about how to safely deploy aircraft to help an incident commander during the early period of an escalating incident.

We learned about Unified Command and useful everyday examples of successful uses of Unified Command.

We heard about what's happening in Lewis and Clark and Flathead Counties related to local incident support teams.

We worked to refine the MMA procedures and to describe the management practices that are working well during MMA deployments.

Leonard Lundby and Jason Jarrett received recognition for their continued efforts in building a strong mutual aid system in Montana.

There was a lot of making and renewing of friendships and fine hospitality provided by Sue and Ken Mergenthaler and the Eastgate Fire crew.  Thanks to Sue and Shirley and Jim and Mike for making the weekend possible.
