Program Overview: Participants begin with an introduction to Straw Bale House construction with one week on the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation at Lame Deer, Montana. After this introduction, participants travel to Nairobi, Kenya for a four day introduction to Kenya, followed by travel to a farm location near Nanyuki, Kenya. Participants will be lodged at this farm, where they will be involved with a service-learning project, involving construction of straw bale houses, along with Architecture program course work 480 and 280.
