File your FREE application for federal aid here! Also visit this site to correct existing applications or file a renewal application. You need to file a FAFSA for every academic year you plan to attend college. Montana's FAFSA priority filing date is March 1st every year. MSU's school code is 002532.
FAFSA Pin Number: www.pin.ed.gov
The US Department of Education will issue you, and your parent (if you are considered a dependent), a FREE Pin Number to sign your FAFSA and loan promissory notes electronically.
National Student Loan Data System: www.nslds.ed.gov
View all the federal loans that you have accepted, as well as contact information for the lenders. You will need your US Department of Education Pin numberf you don't have one, you can request a Pin number at: www.pin.ed.gov
Montana Guaranteed Student Loan Program (MGSLP): www.mgslp.state.mt.us
MGSLP is a division in the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education (OCHE). In addition to guaranteeing loans, they provide financial aid information to the public, students, and to lawmakers through various outreach programs.
Student Assistance Foundation of Montana (SAF): www.smartaboutcollege.org
SAF is a non-profit student loan servicer. Check your personal account, prepare for repayment, find debt management resources, and access FAFSA and other government publications and Web sites. MSU's branch office is next to Financial Aid Services in the SUB, room 179.
