Montana State University

Orientation Registration

Freshmen who will be starting school fall semester will need to register for one of the three summer Orientation Programs (June or July) or the fall Orientation Program (August).  Students have two options to register for an Orientation/Registration session.

  • You can fill out and return the registration card that was sent to you in March (or later, if you were accepted to MSU after March) and return it to the Orientation Office.
  • Your other option is go to your online Undergraduate Admissions Checklist to access an online registration form. To find your Admissions Checklist, go to http://www.montana.edu and click on My Info, click on “Enter Secure Area” with your Student ID number and password, then select “Admissions Checklist” and scroll down to the Orientation section.
Please note:  We CANNOT take registration information over the phone or via email.  If you wish to reserve a spot in one of the summer sessions, please do not delay.  Space in the summer sessions is limited and is filled on a first come, first serve basis.  Space in the fall session is unlimited.

Freshmen who will be starting school spring semester or summer session do not need to register for orientation.  Information regarding spring and summer session orientation will be sent to you prior to that time.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Orientation Office at (406) 994-2827, toll-free at (888) MSU-CATS or via email at orientation@montana.edu.
