Hi, my name is . . . Mike Rupprecht.
I live in Silesia, Montana, which is about 25 miles southwest of Billings. I go to school in Joliet, Montana and am in the 6th grade. I play the piano, saxophone and love to ride my horse, Rupe.
I am taking a lot of projects in 4-H this year. They are Horsemanship 4, Webmaster, Woodworking 3, Swine and Shooting Sports. The name of my club is the Rockvale Ramblers and I am on the Community Service Committee and also I am the person who calls everyone before each meeting to remind them to come. We have about 30 members in our club and this year we have about 6 Cloverbuds.
I am a Kansas City Chiefs fan, big time. We'll get em next year! My mom was born in KC and my uncle is on the Board of Directors for the Chiefs. He sends me lots of cool stuff. My room is a shrine to the Chiefs. I visited KC two summers ago, not in football season, and got to got to a Royals game. I hope to get to go back sometime to see a football game at Arrowhead Stadium. It's kind of tough though because football season is during the school year.
Well, baseball has just started and I am excited to play this year. Last year I was on restricted activities all spring and then I had my third open heart surgery on June 3rd in Denver. I had my first when I was 5 days old and my second when I was 5 years old. I was 11 last year for my third. I am feeling pretty good this year and am playing catcher and 1st base on one of the Joliet baseball teams. I'm a little out of shape but doing well anyway. Horsemanship clinics are starting and my pig is really growing now. My team won 1st place in the livestock judging for junior division a couple of weeks ago. I don't think any of the three of us had ever done livestock judging before so it was a great surprise. This year our county is going to start having horse judging contests also. That should be fun. Well, back to work on 4-H records (never ending).
