Enhancing Student Learning Though
Integration of Technology Into the Learning Environment

PURPOSE:
...to increase teacher competence in the use of educational technology in order to enhance student learning.  “Teachers must be prepared to empower students with the advantages technology can bring.  Schools and classrooms must have teachers who are equipped with technology resources and skills and who can effectively teach the necessary subject matter content while incorporating technology concepts and skills” (NETS 2007).

FRAMEWORK:
All educational technology courses offered here are built upon the National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS). These standards were created by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) along with the teacher education accrediting agency NCATE.  The Montana Educational Technology Standards are also a component of each course.
