Dear Raya,
Do you know much about the tunnel of the northern pacific? Well your about to learn more. Did you know the Bozeman courier carried a story called “Bozeman Bust”? Or General Anderson said that he felt that his personal survey up the Yellowstone should be the route? Plans ere made to make a tunnel through Bozeman pas. Work on the tunnel started in the autumn of 1881 the next spring, work on the tunnel proper started. On July 30, solid rock at end of the tunnel had been drilled to ten feet. Daylight was let through the tunnel on Saturday, Jan. 19, 1883. The track was being laid from both ends. That’s a lot of information for just one place. I hope you under stood all that. (LOL!)
Your friend,
Sheikha
