Boatbill-
    The boatbill is a tropical new world heron with short legs and a squatty body.  The boatbill is dull gray and black with a broad bill that is shaped like an overturned boat.  The boatbill is a nocturnal animal and a shallow-water feeder.  It lives on fish and insects and nests n roots and trees.
Bald Eagle-
    The bald eagle is a solitary bird that is said to mate for life.  They make nests in high trees or cliffs that can measure over ten feet across and can weigh over 1,000 pounds.  They had been classified as an endangered animal but in 1995 were taken off that list and put on the threatened animal list due to strenuous efforts to save them.
Toucan-
    The toucan is a medium sized bird that can grow up to 24 inches long, with a large, bright, canoe shaped bill.  The bill is large and sharp to cut up the fruit and berries that make up their diet.  Much like the woodpecker, the toucan makes its nest in tree cavities.
Quetzal-
    The quetzalis a beautiful bird with a crested head, bronze-green back and crimson and white underparts.  It nests in holes, and can lay two to four eggs per clutch.  It is also the national bird of Guatemala.
Emerald Dove-
    The Emerald Dove is a bird that can be found feeding on the rainforest floor.  It is a small bird that ranges from 22-28 centimeters, and will nest on a branch and generally lay two white eggs.
Orange-Footed Scrubfowl-
    The orange-footed scrubfowl is a bird that can be found on the rainforest floor in nests made of decaying plants and leaves.  The scrubfowl is a bird that mates for life and after it lays its eggs it does not wait around to see the babies born, the babies must make their way out of the nest and will soon fly after getting out.  The scrubfowl can grow up to 40 cenitmeters.
Congo Peafowl-
     The Congo Peafowl can be found on the rainforest floors of Africa and rarely fly.  The look similar to a peacock and mostly eat fruit and insects.  The were only discovered in 1936 and scientists are worried about learning about them due to the destruction of the rainforest.
Crimson Flowerpecker-
     The Crimson Flowerpecker can be found in the understory and canopy of the southeastern rainforests of Asia.  They eat berriers, nectar, fruit and insects.  They are very small and only grow to 2.75-7.5 inches.  Even for their small size they are a very loud aggresive bird.
Curassows-
     The Curassows can be found in the understory and lower canopy of the South American rainforests.  They forage for food on the floor and only eat fruit.  They have crests on their heads and are closly related to the turkey.
Guneys Pittas
     The Guneys Pittas can be found in the southeast Asia rainforest.  The Guneys Pitta is one of the most endangered birds in the world.  They forage for food on the rainforset and usually eat insects.  They have beautifully colored feathers and roost in trees to hide.
Honey Buzzard-
     The Honey Buzzard can be found in the high canopy in the African rainforest.  The unique thing about these buzzards is that they only ear bees, wasps and hornets.  Their claws dull over time from digging the wasps out of the ground.
