MSU offers a top-tier education and in the past year alone, MSU students have successfully competed for prestigious scholarships for everything from math, science and engineering to leadership and civic engagement. These are some of the top awards recently earned by MSU students:

Rhodes Scholarship: An MSU student was awarded a 2013 Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University. MSU has had 10 Rhodes Scholars.

Marshall Scholar: In 2012, MSU's first Marshall Scholarship was received. Similar to the Rhodes Scholarship, the Marshall enables students to select any institution in the U.K. for scholarship but does not require that they study at Oxford.

Goldwater Scholarships: Goldwater Scholarships are the nation’s premier scholarship for undergraduates studying math, natural sciences and engineering. Up to four individuals from a single institution can receive Goldwater Scholarships each year, and in 2013 four MSU students were selected.

Udall Scholarship: The Udall Foundation provides federally funded scholarships for college students intending to pursue careers related to the environment, as well as to American Indian students pursuing tribal public policy or health care careers.

Newman Civic Fellow: The recognition honors student leaders who have demonstrated an investment in finding solutions for challenges facing communities throughout the country. Newman Civic Fellows are recommended by college and university presidents to acknowledge motivation and ability in public leadership.

In addition to an excellent education that helps students earn awards and prepare for a successful futures, MSU's welcoming community of distinguished professors and the abundance of opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research, and meaningful service projects make MSU a top choice.
