Resident Transfer Scholarships (2018-19)
Montana State University will offer a limited number of scholarships and awards to talented transfer students who apply for admission. Many scholarships will be awarded through the MSU Premier Scholarship Program. These awards will be targeted toward Resident Transfer students who show academic promise based upon ACT and/or SAT scores and transfer grade point average.
Due to limited funding, resident transfer scholarships are highly competitive. Students must have 30 ACT/1390 SAT or higher AND 3.0 or higher cumulative transferable GPA to be competitive.
These awards will be applied toward tuition only, and are only available to students who are working on their first undergraduate degree.
To be eligible, you must complete the following as soon as possible:
- Apply for admission to Montana State University.

- Have official transcripts of all college-level work you have completed sent to MSU.
- Have your official ACT and/or SAT test scores sent to Montana State University directly from the testing company.
- Sending SAT scores
- Print, complete and mail the Montana Premier Scholarship application to:

Apply early! We strive to provide awards to qualified applicants. However, resources are limited. These scholarships will only be available for a limited time. The priority deadline is February 1, 2018 for the fall semester! Apply early, funds may be limited.
If you are awarded a new resident student Transfer Scholarship, you must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater, enroll for a minimum of 15 credits a semester, and maintain resident status and continuous enrollment to retain the award. MSU transfer scholarships and awards are available to those seeking undergraduate bachelor degree programs only.

Be sure to file your FAFSA by December 1, 2017 to be considered for federal grants, work-study, and student and parent loans, so that we can best meet your financial needs. Need and non-need based aid programs are available. Filing the FAFSA by this date will give you priority consideration for all financial assistance programs at Montana State University.
