Non-Resident Fall 2010 Freshman Scholarships

Montana State University will offer millions of dollars in scholarships and awards to non-resident freshmen who apply for admission for the fall of 2010.

To be eligible, you must complete the following as soon as possible:

  1. Apply for admission to Montana State University. You'll find an application in the MSU Viewbook or you can apply online at https://apply.embark.com/ugrad/montanastate/.
  2. Have your official ACT and/or SAT test scores sent to Montana State University directly from the testing company. The ACT MSU school code is 2420. The SAT MSU school code is 4488.

It is essential to apply for admission and have your ACT and/or SAT test scores sent to Montana State University as soon as possible. These scholarships and awards may only be available for a limited time.

If you qualify, these scholarships will be automatically awarded when we have received your application and your ACT and/or SAT test scores.

If you are from one of the WUE states* listed below and have a 28 composite ACT or 1860 to 1910 total SAT you may be considered for WUE if spaces become available. Awards are limited. Apply early.

For Fall 2010, MSU Achievement Awards will be based upon ACT composite scores and/or total SAT scores (Math, Critical Reading and Writing).

*Western states participating in the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Program: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

§ Awards (WUE or Achievement Awards) at these levels may be adjusted in Architecture (Environmental Design) and Film & Photography (Motion Picture/Video/Theatre and Photography) after the first year. See http://www.montana.edu/admissions/scholarships.shtml#sch for details.

All Achievement Awards are designated for tuition only. If you are awarded a renewable Achievement or WUE Award, you must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater and maintain full-time, non-resident status and continuous enrollment to retain the award throughout your four years at MSU.

As a condition of acceptance for any freshmen award, students must submit a Residence Hall Application as soon as possible. Students who have not already applied for housing, may download a housing application from the Residence Hall website at: http://www.montana.edu/reslife/. Exceptions to this rule may be made by contacting the Office of Residence Life.
