Due to unprecedented demand for these scholarships, we have had to suspend this program for fall 2009 new students until further notice. If additional funds become available, we will post a message on this site. If you were awarded a Montana new student University Scholarship, it will be honored.
We are still offering Distinction Scholarships to new students from Montana who will enter in the fall of 2009. We encourage those who have not already received a University Scholarship to apply.

MSU strives to make our university affordable for all Montana residents. Be sure to
file your FAFSA by March 1, 2009 so that we can best meet your financial needs.
Filing the FAFSA by this date will give you priority consideration for all available
financial assistance programs at Montana State University.
All University Scholarships are designated for ‘tuition’ only. If you are awarded a renewable University Scholarship, you must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater and maintain full time, resident status and continuous enrollment to retain the award throughout your four years at MSU.
As a condition of acceptance for any freshmen award, students must submit a Residence Hall Application as soon as possible. Students who have not already applied for housing, may download a housing application from the Residence Hall website at: http://www.montana.edu/reslife/. Exceptions to this rule may be made by contacting the Office of Residence Life.
