Congratulations to the MSU-Bozeman Ranger Challenge 2017 team for an outstanding performance in the 8th BDE Regional Competition at Boise, Idaho.  Below are some highlights and pictures:

 MSU-Bozeman dominated the physical events:

    • 1st Place in the PT Challenge (Metronome push-ups, 10 minute continuous sit-ups, pull ups & 2.7 mile runsmith
    • 1st Place in the 8 mile ruck.  Cadet Melmer literally ran herself into the spirit world at the end of this, 100% and then some).  6mile

DTs Ebilene and Seib (AKA the Humble Beast) were singled out by CSM Cashman for exceptional fitness & teamwork.

 The team also had very strong showings in:

    • The Sapper Challenge
    • Leaders Reaction Course
    • The NBC Lane
    • Land Nav practical exercises 1 & 2

 

The team took 3rd overall, extremely close on the heels of 2nd Place Gonzaga and 1st place Boise State.  A truly superb effort by all team members and we look forward to seeing next year’s competition.  This was an awesome event that proved to be a great day of training, camaraderie and competition, we are better for the experience.
