RESOLUTION OF THE SENATE

THE ASSOCIATED STUDENTS OF MONTANA STATE UNIVERSITY

Adopted 13 February 2020

Whereas, The Transportation Demand Management Fee has been considered by the Associated Students of Montana State University (ASMSU) Senate to fund different transport initiatives around campus including, but not limited to, a campus circulator bus; and,

Whereas, The ASMSU Senate voted to send the Transportation Demand Management Fee to the Board of Regents following a student referendum vote at the Spring 2020 general election; and,

Whereas, It has now been recognized that other projects need priority this year; and,

Whereas, Postponing the Transportation Demand Management Fee will allow for another year of piloting and student feedback, ensuring the best possible impact on students; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That the ASMSU Senate supports postponing Board of Regents consideration and student referendum vote on the Transportation Demand Management Fee to the Spring of 2021; and,

Resolved, That a copy of this resolution be sent to ASMSU Director of Operations, Marianne Brough; Vice President of Administration and Finance, Terry Leist; Vice President of Student Success, Chris Kearns; and ASMSU President, Taylor Blossom.
