Make your voice heard at the 2013 Montana Legislative Session!
Decisions made at the Montana legislature determine the cost of tuition, the quality of facilities, the pay of professors and a host of other issues important to students. This makes the student voice incredibly important to ensure quality higher education in Montana. Students can play a powerful role in the 2013 legislature if we band together and present an organized message. If you are at all interested in helping out, even if you just want to stay informed, CLICK HERE and fill out this form, and we'll keep you in the loop. Thanks!

Our mission

This non partisan committee seeks to inform and facilitate MSU's student involvement in local, state, and national political issues, as well as represent the interests of MSU's student body during each state legislative session.

The committee

The committee is made up of any interested students.  It's a great way to get involved and informed about the issues facing MSU and higher education in the state of Montana.  The committee tracks upcoming bills of interest, interfaces with University and government officials, and works with the student lobbyist, a student paid to live in Helena and lobby for MSU student interests during the legislative session.  Currently the committee is preparing for the session that begins in January, 2013.

How can I get involved?

If you're interested in learning mor about the committee or the student lobbyist position, please contact Mark Bond, the ASMSU State Legislative Director, at

Dani Clark

Hi I’m Dani Clark, your ASMSU student lobbyist for the 2013 Montana Legislative Session. I’m originally from Livingston, MT. I’m a junior studying sociology, but I’ve always had a passion for politics and this great state. I’m very passionate about the Bobcats and our Montana University System, and I can’t wait to represent my fellow students in Helena from January 7th- April 27th, 2013.  Please feel free to reach me with concerns and questions about the session and bills at any time. GO CATS!
