| 2008 Racecar Build is underway.
Pictured left, MSU Formula SAE team members bend the rollhoop into its final shape. The 2008 Racecar is taking form, stop by the shop and check our our progress. Pictures are complements of Alaina Garcia who will be documenting our entire build.

We just completed to first practice of 08' with great results. Although it started out a little rough, (fuel injection problems, dead batteries, flat tires) we drove the car 54 for a good four hours. Eric Davey posted the fastest time of the day at 32.63. Troy Tempel followed with a 32.87, Trevor Pankratz scored consistent 34.3's and Reid Prison posted a 35.94. We ended the day with a broken tie rod end, but should have it repaired shortly. We are going to try to put on another practice later this week so if you are in town and available, show up! |

OK this time it is official, I have the lot across from the tennis courts reserved for Sunday(3-9-08). Weather permitting (no snow, no rain) we are going to have our first practice of the year. Feel free to come and drive the car if you are still in town. Practice will start around noon.

We will be having a meeting this Tuesday (3-4-08) at 6:00 in Roberts 307. Topics include the new cars current status and plans for a practice schedule in car 54. Capstone members are expected to attend to update the new cars status. Hope to see everyone there. |

The parking lot across from the tennis court is looking pretty dry, and I wouldn't mind driving car 54 this weekend. I think we are going to try for Sunday around noon, weather permitting. Call or text me if you can help out with putting on a practice.

Pizza and a Meeting Tuesday |

There will be a meeting on Tuesday, February 12 at 6pm in Roberts 101. Bobcat Motorsports is inviting any one interested in joining the SAE club to come out to eat pizza and watch a presentation on what the club does. For current members the topics discussed maybe limited, but it would be great to see everyone show up and help represent our club. |

There will be a club meeting Tuesday, February 5 in Roberts 208 at 6pm. The topics to be discussed are getting the shop cleaned and prepared for the new car, and club recruitment for Tuesday, February 12. Capstone groups are also expected to attend, because capstone meetings are going to be combined with the club's regular meetings. |

Kawasaki Bikes Delivered to shop! |

| On Saturday Decemeber 22, 2007 three Kawasaki ZX-6R motorcycles and three ZX-6R 600cc engines were delivered to the shop courtesy of Kawasaki! Faculty advisor Robb Larson met the driver in the Stadium lot at 7:30 AM, off-loaded the bikes onto his snowmobile trailer, then drove the lot to their new home in the shop. The 5°F temps and icy roads ruled out a test drive - for now! Thanks to the sponsorship of Kawasaki Bobcat Motorsports now has an established drivetrain for future years.
Spring semester kicks off in a few weeks, capstone design students will return and start construction on the new 2008 racecar! Check out the photo gallery for additional images of the bikes. |

Hello all, Bobcat Motorsports wants to invite all club members, sponsors, and anyone else who is interested to come to the Fall 2007 Design Presentations. The design teams have been working hard all semester to provide the team with the recipe for a great car. The presentations will happen on Wednesday December 5, 2007 from 5:00-8:00 PM.
Two teams will be presenting first and the other two will be the last two of the night. Come check out the design of the 2008 car. |
