Thanks to SDSM&T & Dr. Bob Woods |

Team tours SDSM&T facilities.
ME Patrick Reedy gets comfortable. | Thank you to the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology for their hospitality this weekend. The team and their advisor, Dr. Dan Dolan, were very gracious in sharing some of the secrets that have put them at the top of the class in FSAE.
The main focus of the weekend was teamwork, communication, and the importance of personal values. It is recognizing these core values that allow a decent team to become a great team, and no one has done it better than Hardrocker Racing.
Thank you also to Dr. Bob Woods from the University of Texas at Arlington. Dr. Woods also spoke on the importance of the team behind the car, and how that standard has allowed UTA to dominate Formula SAE for nearly thirty years. Bobcat Motorsports is grateful for the chance to hear this wisdom, and we are confident it will help us get to the next level in FSAE. Check out SDSM&T Hardrocker Racing here.

Club members will be traveling to Rapid City, South Dakota to visit the South Dakota School of Mines this Thursday. Team members will be leaving at 3:00pm SHARP! We will be attending a lecture given by Dr. Woods, and also viewing the School of Mines facilities and previous cars. This is an excellent example of a well developed and managed formula SAE racing team. Take this opportunity to collect as much information from them as possible, so be thinking of questions and concerns you may have.

ME Drew Popa welds on the frame. | Tonight in the shop, club members successfully finished restoration of the 2006 racecar and began the necessary repairs to the 2007 racecar. Restoration of the 2006 car is a great achievement accomplished by the underclassmen. Hopefully this weekend the cars will race together for the first time ever, and all of the hard work will finally pay off.

Thanks to everyone who volunteered to work the football game this weekend. MSU turned early frustration into a 20-9 victory over Sacramento State with a dominating second half. This week the club will focus heavily on new sponsors and fundraising opportunities. Check back for posted meeting times. In other news the 05-06 racecar is almost complete, tomorrow the club should receive a shipment of axel nuts to finalize the repairs. Hopefully the weather holds, and club members can begin testing. Thanks to everyone who helped. The 06-07 racecar is currently grounded pending some suspension repair. Check the events calendar for available shop times. Also the Bozeman Daily Chronicle published an excellent article in the October 14th sunday paper. Check it out here: SAE club shows off student-built racecar |

The '06 car is almost up and running again so come check it out in the shop and maybe next weekend we can race the two cars togehter. Thanks to those who helped with the football parking yesterday, I know it was cold but we really appreciated all of you help.
