Professor of Finance
Dr. James Wu-Hsiung Lin came to America in 1982 from Taiwan. He received his MBA from State University of New York at Buffalo in 1984 and his Ph.D. in finance with a minor in economics from University of Arizona in 1987. Professor Lin has taught courses in Corporate Finance, Financial Management, Managerial Finance, Investments, and Portfolio Management.
His research interests are in corporate structure and governance, mutual funds performance analysis, options and futures, optimal risk hedging and control, and security return characteristics and anomalies. Professor Lin has published extensively with numerous papers appearing in prestigious national and international journals such as Journal of Finance, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Journal of Financial Research, Journal of Multinational Financial Management, Journal of Investing, International Review of Economics and Finance, and Global Finance Journal. He is a reviewer for various journals such as Journal of Financial Research, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Quantitative Finance, Financial Management, Journal of Financial Education, International Review of Economics and Finance, and Journal of Economics and Finance.
