Danforth Chapel
This non-denominational chapel was built in 1950-52 with the help of the Danforth Foundation and is used for
weddings, memorial services and religious events. It houses the keyboard from which the University carillon may
be played. The carillon, a gift of Joseph Mares, class of 1924, plays every morning and evening and on special
occasions such as commencement and presidential inaugurations. Stained glass windows in the chapel are a
memorial to the men and women who died in World War II.
On our campus map, the Danforth Chapel is building 14.
