Self-Assessment

Who am I?

Generally appropriate during the Freshman Year. This step involves gathering information about oneself to assist in making a decision about a career. A list of potential and suitable careers is generated. From the list, a shorter set, usually 3 to 5, of those careers most attractive/interesting is formed.  Key words during the self assessment phase are:

  • Interests/Motivations
  • Values/Satisfactions
  • Skills/Abilities
  • Personality
  • Accomplishments
  • Dreams
  • Lifestyle
Tools for Self-Assessment

Visit with one of our experienced Career Counselors to identify your personal direction and goals as well as your career direction and goals.  With the assistance of a Career Counselor determine which of the below assessments would benefit you.

  •  Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
