Horse Leaders Committee:

The 4-H Horse Leaders Committee meets the first Monday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Extension Office. Meeting dates that fall on a holiday are moved to the second Monday. The committee does not meet in August.

Horse Education Sessions are scheduled in February, March and April on the first Monday at 7 p.m.  Locations may vary. The Horse Leaders Committee meets after the education session is finished.

 

Cascade County 4-H Horse Show, 2007 July 21-22, King Equestrian Center - The registration form will be linked when it is ready. The paper legal sized (8.5 x 14 inches).  Please load legal paper into your printer.

NEW  Event:  All County 4-H Horse Show - June 16-17, King Equestrian Center, 1 mile east toward Belt.  The registration form will be linked when it is ready. Any 4-H member in Montana is invited to participate in this horse show. The form is printed on legal size paper, please load legal paper in your printer.

Cascade County Helmet Guidelines - Currently helmets are not required for 4-H members taking the horse project or for riding in Horse shows. However, if a 4-H members chooses not to wear a helmet at a Cascade County 4-H sponsored horse show, the 4-H member and their parent(s) will have to sign a “release and assumption of risk” form that is part of the state 4-H policy document.  Download the Helmet Waiver form here.

Helmets must be ASTM/SEI certified equestrian helmets - which are available for purchase through the Cascade County Extension office at a reduced rate.  The Cascade Co. Extension office will be ordering helmets on May 19. Helmets cost $15 plus $1.75 shipping - no color choice.  Call the office for size information at 454-6980.

    Reminder to 4-H members - if you are NOT entering a Market Beef - Swine - or Sheep project please call the office and drop that project. ALL Drops and Adds are due MAY 1, 2007

    2007 Intent to Enter Information:

    Information Coming Soon. We are working on changes to collect intent to enter information earlier in the year. we need to do this to communicate numbers to the Packing Plant managers who process the aninmals.
