4-H State Fair Entries are due in the Extension Office on Friday June 24, 2005 by 5 pm.        Late Entries will be accepted until July 8th with a $25 late fee.

July 26-27 4-H Interview Judging - Exhibition Hall, MT ExpoPark, begins at 6 pm

July 28 4-H Dog Show, Westgate Mall

Fair Week is July 29 through August 6,2005

Below is a brief summary for the Livestock Events for State Fair.  Be sure to check your Premium Book for the most up to date information. We will update this section as new information is available. (Last update 5/18/04)

Tuesday, August 2, 2005

• 7-11am 4-H Livestock Check In, Livestock Pavilion
• 7-10 am Weigh Hogs
• 10-11 am Weigh Lambs
• 7-11 am all Beef and Breeding Projects must check in (in the same area as the hogs and lambs are being weighed in)
• 11:30 Mandatory Livestock Exhibitor’s meeting, bleachers
• 1 pm Beef Weigh In and Hip Height measurements

Wednesday, August 3, 2005

• 8-11 am Market Hog
• 11-12 pm Market Lamb
• 1-3 pm Market Beef
• 4:30 pm Dairy and Goat judging

Thursday August 4th

• 8:00 – 8:30 am Swine Showmanship judge’s meeting
• 8:30 - 9 am Sheep Showmanship judge’s meeting
• 9:00 am Swine Showmanhip
• 11 am (or after Swine) Sheep Showmanship

Friday, August 5th

• 9 am – 12 pm Beef Showmanship judge’s meeting and judging immediately afterward
• 1:30 – 3 pm – FFA/4-H Livestock Judging
• 6 pm – 7:30 Showmanship Round Robin

Saturday, August 6th

• 9 am – 1 pm Livestock Sale
• 4:30 Critter n’Costume (tentative)
• 7 pm Load Out Hogs, Lambs, Beef (tentative)
