Information
Montana State University Bozeman is the main campus of Montana State University. Bozeman is an attractive small city of about 35,000 residents, located 90 miles north of Yellowstone National Park. Summer recreation includes hiking and backpacking in any of the four local mountain ranges and world-class fly fishing. Winter recreation includes downhill and cross country skiing at any of the three local ski areas as well as snowshoeing. Skiing magazine recently selected Bozeman as the fourth-best ski town in the United States.

The College of Business offers a B.S. in Business with options in Accounting, Finance, Management, and Marketing and a Master of Professional Accountancy program. The College has about 25 tenure-track faculty and is augmented by an experienced group of professionally-qualified faculty. Faculty members enjoy a highly collegial environment and are committed to excellence in business education. Duties and
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will teach accounting courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. Applicants should be able to teach in at least one of the following areas: tax, governmental accounting, accounting information systems, managerial accounting or financial accounting. A normal teaching load is 6-9 hours per semester. Scholarly research published in peer-reviewed journals and service are also expected.
 
Required
Qualifications
1.     Ph.D. or DBA in Accounting or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited university. Preference given to those who have completed their doctoral degrees or will complete them prior to beginning work at Montana State University.
 
2. Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching.
 
3. Demonstrated potential for publishing scholarly research.
 
4. Willingness to contribute to the mission of the College through service.
 
Preferred
Qualifications
1.     Record of high quality published accounting research.
 
2. Demonstrated excellence in teaching accounting courses.
 
3. CPA, CMA or other relevant professional designation.
 
4. Work experience in the field of accounting.
