Salary Commensurate with qualifications, experience, and university resources. Tenure Track position. Group insurance plan, including medical, dental, and hospital coverage is available. Information
The Department of Media and Theatre Arts enrolls 450 students, taught by 15 tenure-track faculty. Students major in one of two options: Motion Picture/Video/Theatre or Photography. The photography option is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.

MSU-Bozeman is a land grant university with a total enrollment of 12,300. The City of Bozeman, population 30,000, is situated in the Gallatin Valley, 90 miles north of Yellowstone National Park. Bozeman has superb recreational and cultural opportunities, and an excellent K-12 public school system.

 
Duties and
Responsibilities
Teach intermediate and advanced undergraduate photography classes. Team-teach the senior capstone class. Regular academic advising of photography majors. Participation in service and other department activities. Contribution to the intellectual life of the university.
 
Required
Qualifications
1.     MFA degree in photography, or other appropriate field
 
2. Strong record of creative work and commitment to continued growth as an artist in the field
 
3. Demonstrated experience in teaching photography at the college level.
 
4. Ability to teach digital photography and analog classes as well as studio lighting .
 
5. Extensive knowledge of all camera formats.
 
6. Extensive knowledge of analog darkroom and digital lab procedures.
 
Preferred
Qualifications
1.     Experience in studio and location lighting techniques.
 
2. At least two years demonstrated experience in teaching photography at the college level beyond the rank of teaching assistant.
 
3. Ability to teach photography theory, history, and professional practices.
 
4. Ability to teach video, animation, or other moving image production beyond still photography and film.
