Postdoctoral and Research Associate

Salary Initial appointment is for one year; grant funded; salary depending on experience and education. Exceptionally well qualified candidates may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant Professor.
 
Duties and
Responsibilities
Works on project to study the interactions of antagonists and agonists with the HIV co-receptors CCR5 and CXCR4. Will use photo and chemical cross-linking with a panel of synthetic antagonists and agonists that have been prepared by cooperating personnel. Mass spectrometry techniques will be used to analyze proteins and peptides. Help prepare manuscripts for publication. Required
Qualifications
1.     Ph.D. in relevant field.
 
2. Experience in biological mass spectrometry, including ESI/LC/MS/MS.
 
Preferred
Qualifications
1.     Experience with software for analysis of mass spec data, such as MASCOT or SpectraMill.
 
2. Experience with protein digestion, affinity chromatography, and protein separation methods.
 
3. Experience with peptide synthesis and purification.
