Entrepreneurship
and Small Business Management: This rigorous minor is designed to provide students with perspective and skills to pursue a successful entrepreneurial career through the Alderson Program in Entrepreneurship (coursework) and direct experience with entrepreneurs and MSU scientists in the Center for Entrepreneurship for the New West, which is housed within TechRanch Venture Incubator. Both the Alderson Program and the Center for Entrepreneurship for the New West have received national recognition for innovative design and effectiveness. Enrollment in this minor is open to business and non-business students.
Management
of Information Technology: Focus on information technology, database creation and management, business strategy, and creation of a competitive advantage. Enrollment in this minor is open to business and non-business students.
International
Business: Develop skills and knowledge necessary for a career in international business by focusing on coursework for your own particular interest.
Business
Administration: Gain critical insights into business operations and strategy from accounting, finance, management and marketing coursework. The Business Administration Minor will provide fundamental knowledge and exposure to key business concepts. This minor is open to all non-business students.
Accounting: The
Accounting Minor is open to all students, with the exception of students
pursuing a business degree with an accounting option.
The coursework will help students understand the role accounting plays in business decisions. Students who minor in accounting will learn how to prepare and analyze income statements, balance sheets, cost/managerial reports, and tax returns.
