The Starzen
Company, formerly Zenchiku Inc., sponsors an almost all-expenses-paid
one month internship for one or two College of Business students each
summer. Starzen, headquartered in Tokyo, is a global meat company with
a ranch in Dillon, MT.
The Starzen internship is highly competitive. Candidates must:
- Be formally admitted to the College of Business
by the time they go on the internship
- Have at least a 3.0 GPA
- Have had at least one semester of Japanese
language training before they depart for the internship. In the
past, some interns have received their language training at Kumamoto Gakuen University, MSUs
sister university in Kumamoto, Japan, during the month before the Starzen
internship began.
