The Starzen Company, formerly Zenchiku Inc., sponsors an almost all-expenses-paid one month internship for one or two College of Business students each summer. Starzen, headquartered in Tokyo, is a global meat company with a ranch in Dillon, MT.

The Starzen internship is highly competitive. Candidates must:

  • Be formally admitted to the College of Business by the time they go on the internship
  • Have at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Have had at least one semester of Japanese language training before they depart for the internship. In the past, some interns have received their language training at Kumamoto Gakuen University, MSU’s sister university in Kumamoto, Japan, during the month before the Starzen internship began.

For more information, please contact Prof. Dean Drenk. An internship application form is available in Reid 338.
