Management Minors

Three minors in the College of Business complement the Management curriculum. Each offers courses that satisfy requirements for the Management option as well as enables students to graduate on time with the curriculum emphasis they value.

The minor in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management offers the chance to learn about opportunities and challenges in starting a business. It includes a course in which students serve as consultants to local start-up companies, often working on issues such as market and financial analyses. The entrepreneurship minor prepares students to manage their own business or take a leadership role in small and growing companies. For more information on the Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management Minor, please click here.

The Management of Information Technology minor allows students to combine their interests in information technology and management skills to become a highly desirable, technically proficient employee. The minor combines computer science classes with management courses that emphasize the business side and strategic dimensions of information technology.

The International Business minor is a flexible program designed to develop competence in the international topic or region of a students choice. While it includes required courses in international management, marketing and economics, it also allows students to choose 20 elective credits in disciplines such as language, political science, geography, and history. The minor helps students gain knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in international business. Language study and an international exchange are encouraged but not required.
