The Montana State University Management Institute was developed by the MSU College of Business to offer executive education for entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations in Montana and the Rocky Mountain West.
The Management Institute Executive Education series was launched in the fall of 2008 in response to requests by local business leaders to provide high quality executive education and professional development opportunities locally. Firms expressed the desire to have their people stay in Montana, rather than paying for them to travel to New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia or some other distant location and miss several days of work. These out-of-town sessions typically involved paying a significant price for not only the sessions, but also travel and lodging.
The MSU Management Institute has held several successful executive education sessions since its inception and has reached more than 70 business executives from more than 12 area businesses. The Institute is now expanding its offerings to include customized executive education and professional development opportunities to businesses throughout Montana.
The MSU Management Institute customed seminars are delivered by College of Business faculty members who are selected as seminar leaders for their expertise and ability to convey relevant business topics to professional audiences. Each customized seminar is specifically tailored to a company's unique needs and offers participants real-world insights and a deeper understanding of key business principles that participants can apply immediately to their work practices. The course formats are carefully chosen to offer experiential and dynamic interactions between participants and instructors.
