Scholarships Available to COB Students

More than $200,000 of scholarships will be awarded to COB students this spring. The applications deadline is Feb. 22. Many awards are need-based, however ALL students are encouraged to apply as some awards are based on merit alone. To be eligible for the need-based scholarships you have to apply to financial aid and it must be determined that you have financial need for the 2003 academic year.

You are encouraged to apply on-line for the scholarships. Here are the steps to apply electronically: 1. Go to the COB scholarship page, 2. Read the required instructions, then click on the electronic application link and 3. Fill out the form.

The scholarship awards banquet will be at 6 p.m., April 24 in the MSU SUB Ballroom A. Any student awarded a scholarship must be present at the awards banquet to receive their award.

There are other options for scholarships available to COB students. Be sure to check the listings on the bulletin boards (several are listed right now) or check with your advisor or the financial aid office. Most of the current scholarships have deadlines of early spring so be sure to get the forms and send your application in right away.
