In May 2002, 25 of the 32 MSU-Bozeman College of Business accounting students taking the CPA exam passed all portions of the exam, resulting in a 78% pass rate. This performance represents the highest ever pass rate achieved by MSU's College of Business students. Many of the students commented that they felt they were well prepared and felt confident while taking the test.

From 1982 - 2000, MSU-Bozeman accounting students have been ranked in the top ten schools for first time CPA pass rates 14 times including seven years with rankings in the top three! Rankings for 2001 and 2002 are not yet available. Carrie Hageman, a 2001 MPAc graduate, had the highest CPA exam score in Montana in May 2001 - what a great job! Congratulations to all of the accounting students and accounting faculty who worked hard for this honor!
