Dodd Named MSU-Bozeman Ombudsman
As an Ombudsman, a Swedish word meaning representative, Dodd will serve as a neutral university-wide faculty and professional staff mediator. Her role will be to investigate complaints and concerns and help parties reach resolution. The Ombudsman will act independently, informally and impartially to address a wide range of problems concerning faculty and professional employees. The complaints and concerns will remain confidential. This appointment is in response to a proposal from the University Governance Council to create an Office of Ombudsman as a two-year pilot project. A search was conducted in spring/summer 2002. Congratulations to Nancy Dodd for being chosen for this new position. |
