The Montana State University College of Business annual golf tournament is scheduled for Friday, September 14, 2007 at the newly renovated Riverside Country Club in Bozeman. The four-member, scramble format tournament is open to all players and will begin with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. This year's event is co-hosted by First Security Bank, Junkermier, Clark, Campanella, Stevens, P.C. (JCCS) CPAs and Business Advisors and Bud Select, a product of Cardinal Distributing.

Profits from this event will be used to provide funding for College of Business student enhancement programs as well as scholarships. In February 2007, three "Friends of the Classic Open Benefit Golf Tournament" scholarships were awarded to business students at the annual scholarship banquet.

"The tournament was very successful last year and we are excited about the positive feedback we have received," said COB Director of Development, Jackie Sather. "The success was due largely to the generosity of our sponsors, prize donations and the enthusiasm and spirit of the golfers. We do have a lot of fun at this event!"

Participants may sign up as single players or a team of four. The tournament entry fee is $125 per golfer, which includes lunch, two mulligans, a Hole-in-One competition, awards ceremony with hors d oeuvres and great team and individual prizes. This tournament does sell out, so early reservations are encouraged.

Continuing the tournament tradition, players on the team with the best gross score will have their names etched in the prestigious traveling crystal trophy and receive the honor of displaying the trophy at their place of business throughout the year. Last year's winning team, sponsored by First Interstate Bank, was comprised of Norm Millikin, Les Mahon, Doug Lanphear and Adam Wright.

For those who wish to make a contribution to the tournament, tee box and other sponsorship options are encouraged. These contributions will give your business strong visibility at the event as well as ensure the success of our golf tournament.

Immediately following this event, participants are encouraged to attend the Vintage Bobcat Auction and Wine Gala. Working in collaboration with MSU Athletics, the College of Business will have items in the live and silent auctions at this event. Great prizes, such as a two person travel package to the upcoming 2008 U.S Open in La Jolla, California and a package to the 2008 Players Competition, will be auctioned off for the benefit of the College of Business. Tickets to the Gala are not included in the entry fee for the golf tournament. More information on the Gala can be obtained by calling the Bobcat Club office at 994-3741.
