- Dengue virus is a mosquito-borne virus that represents an important emerging disease
threat worldwide.
- Since there are currently no vaccines against this virus, novel approaches for treatment
are warranted.
- Recently, we have identified novel polysaccharide, polyphenol, and small molecule
innate immune agonists.
- This project is focused on determining whether modulation of innate immunity by these
agonists can redirect the course of Dengue virus infection to improve its outcome.
