Volunteer Connections of Southwest Montana

VCSM

What is VCSM?

Volunteer Connections of Southwest Montana (VCSM) is a place where you can go to find the most recent one-time or ongoing community needs. Organizations list their volunteer opportunities on the site and then community members go to the site to find a place to serve.  Sometimes organizations need a specific person who is capable of making a weekly commitment, or sometimes they need lots of people to come to a single event. As a prospective volunteer you can search though the site and find the opportunity that best suits your schedule and skills. Go to www.volunteermt.org

Mission of VCSM

“To promote and facilitate volunteerism by building bridges between community resources and community needs”

Does my organization qualify?

To post your volunteer needs on the website you need to be a non-profit, tax exempt, or government entity. Examples would be; area schools, Salvation Army, the University, Gallatin County United Way, or Montana Outdoor Science School, just to name a few.

I want to Volunteer!

Go to the site www.volunteermt.org and register with the site, then find a listing that interests you. You can apply online or sometimes (if they specify) you can just show up at a specific time and place. Getting involved has never been easier!

Training & Networking

Sign-Up for VCSM’s effective volunteering workshops! Trainings will be planned according to interest, so let us know if you want to participate. These trainings are a great way to meet other involved citizens and learn more about the needs of community organizations.
