  CONORS OFFICE RESOURCES

Endnote Version 8

Several years ago CONORS purchased EndNote for the CON researchers.  This was a one-time purchase by CONORS.  Each researcher was given a disk for installation.  CONORS will not replace misplaced disks nor does CONORs support updates or replacements.

NCSS Statistical Software: PASS (Power Analysis and Sample Size)

CONORS purchased one copy of the PASS software in 2007.  The software was installed on the CONORS Laptop and is available for use.

NVIVO 7

CONORS purchase four copies of this qualitative research analysis software. Each campus has its own copy of the software.  Please contact your campus director to determine what computer the software was installed on.  CONORS does not support updates or replacements of this software.
Computer requirements:

  • 1.6 GHz Pentium III-compatible processor or faster
  • 512 MB RAM
  • 1024 x 768 screen resolution
  • Windows XP
  • 1 GB of available hard-disk space

SNAP Surveys

CONORS has purchased a license that allows this software to be downloaded and used on an unlimited number of MSU CON computers. If you are interested in using this software contact CONORS for more information.

SPSS

CONORS provides copies of SPSS for CON researchers, individual research project that need this software must purchase their own copy. CONORS helps to facilitate the purchase and annual license renewal of SPSS.  Each campus director receives a CD containing the software which is available for installation/reinstallation by license holders.   In addition, the CON makes SPSS available for graduate students by purchasing an SPSS license for each campus to be installed on a computer that can be made available to nursing graduate students. 
Computer requirements:

  • Operating System
    • Microsoft® Windows XP (32-bit versions) or Vista™ (32-bit or 64-bit versions)
  • Hardware
    • Intel® or AMD x86 processor running at 1GHz or higher
    • RAM: 512MB RAM; 1GB recommended
    • 450MB of available hard-disk space
    • CD-ROM drive
    • Super VGA (800x600) or a higher-resolution monitor
  • Software
    • Internet Explorer 6 or higher
