MSU's Annual Welcome Back Picnic photoWelcome Back Picnic: In early September each year, join MSU President Geoff Gamble as he welcomes faculty and staff to the new school year. Grill out, visit with old friends, and meet new ones. In addition to live musical entertainment, attendees can register to win one of the many raffle prizes that are awarded. This annual event has become one of the back-to-school traditions for MSU faculty and staff. Be sure and watch for information about the date and time beginning early each fall semester.

Mark your calendar for October 28-30, 2005 and spend time with your student, tour campus, hear faculty lectures, or embark on an outdoor adventure. Invitations and registration forms are mailed to all families in early September. Register online and pay via credit card or complete your registration form and submit it with a check. For more information about registration or activities, call 406-994-4571.

MSU For a Day photoMSU For a Day: MSU For a Day is an outreach program designed to acquaint Montana cities with the university, its programs, and the opportunities available to the public. The program is a grassroots outreach tour featuring outstanding MSU faculty. Faculty visit select Montana high schools to provide exciting lectures in the classroom, to share resources available, and to interact with high school faculty. University administrators meet with community and business leaders, alumni, media, and educational supporters. Usually some type of program or cultural event is offered for alumni and the community to enjoy in the evening.

Programs are tailored to the needs and interests of each community. Please contact Julie Kipfer at 406-994-4571 or via email at jkipfer@montana.edu for further information.
