May 09, 2006 -- from MSU News Service
Bozeman - Seven Montana State University students from both the College of Business and the College of Arts and Architecture placed third among eight other universities at a recent National Student Advertising regional competition held in Yakima, Wash.
The seven-member team included: Nicole Buckley of Great Falls, Logan Kavanagh of Coram and Darcy Wegh of Laurel, all from the MSU College of Business. Graphics design students included Nicholas Elias of Billings, Tiffany Jackson of Butte, Megan Richter of Lewistown and Kalynne Lee of Sidney.
The students, who organized a raffle to fund the trip, worked on a case study for Postal Vaults, a locking mailbox company that provides security services against identity theft. The students placed third in the competition by the judges' votes and were designated "best presentation" by all of the competing students.
The American Advertising Federation organizes the competition with 160 colleges throughout the U. S. competing in 15 regional events.
