New CD course available for small utility boards

BOZEMAN - A free comprehensive training course for members of small utility boards is now available on compact disc through the Montana Water Center of the Montana University System.
Titled "Small Utility Board Training," the three-hour interactive course introduces the fundamental duties and activities of small utility boards and the legal context in which they're exercised. The course focuses on public water utilities, but also pertains to town councils and city commissions.
The course explains the principles of public water system regulation, operation, planning, budgeting and communication. The CD includes videos of board member interviews and water system procedures, animations and quizzes on each topic, and printable interactive documents.

To take the course, place the CD into a computer CD-ROM drive. The program will start automatically on any Windows PC, and is also Mac-compatible.
