The 2007 Montana Association of Family and Consumer Sciences has honored two Montana State University faculty members.
The organization named Deborah Haynes as the 2007 Outstanding Professional and Holly Hunts as the 2007 recipient of its Leaders' Award.
Haynes, an MSU associate professor of consumer science, and Hunts, MSU associate professor of family and consumer science education and extension, were honored in recognition of their outstanding professional contributions to the field through their involvement with AAFCS.
The awards were presented on April 13 at the annual Montana Association of Family and Consumer Sciences Conference held in Big Timber. The prestigious Leaders Award began with the AAFCS 75th anniversary in 1984 when it was established to identify and honor family and consumer sciences professionals. The American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences presents national awards in June 2007 in Reno, NV.
