BROADCAST MEDIA ALERT: Schweitzer, Dennison and Gamble unite to invite state's alumni back to booming Montana
November 16, 2007
Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer, joined by Montana State University President Geoff Gamble and University of Montana President George Dennison, delivered a personal greeting to all Montana alumni who will be watching the MSU-UM football game Saturday.
"We hope you'll consider coming home!," said Gov. Schweitzer to the countless Montanans who now live in cities from Seattle to Washington, D.C. and will gather on Saturday in joint alumni satellite parties to cheer on their home teams.
"Montana is the best place to raise a family, start a business and grow a community. Montana is on the move, with a record number of people working, more than 1,500 jobs per month being created and the nation's seventh-fastest growing economy over the last three years."
Both university presidents joined together to emphasize that the knowledge economy is booming in Montana and in need of the skills and expertise of the state's alumni.
The 60-second message from Gov. Schweitzer and the university presidents Dennison and Gamble is scheduled for uplink TODAY, Friday 11/16/2007, from 4-4:30 pm. See coordinates below.
