Teacher seminar on global economy set Feb. 29

Bozeman -A free one-day seminar that will help teachers explain the changing global economy is set Feb. 29 at Montana State University.

Hosted by the Montana Council on Economic Education in cooperation with the National Council on Economic Education, the seminar is designed to help teachers better understand the changing world economy, the impact on Montana, and how to incorporate this information into classes.

Topics will include why countries trade, jobs lost and gained, exchange rates, Montana's role in world trade, and discussions on the economies of Canada and China.

This program is designed for 25 teachers and priority will be given to those who show how they can use this information in their classes.

The MCEE will provide lodging on Thursday night, Feb. 28, lunch and refreshments on Feb. 29, and reimbursement for the cost of a substitute teacher for Feb. 29.There is no fee for registration.
