Lecture on math instruction to be given Oct. 27 at MSU

BOZEMAN -- A free public lecture on math instruction research will be given Monday, Oct. 27, at Montana State University.
James Hiebert, the Robert J. Barkley Professor of Education at the University of Delaware, will speak at 4:10 p.m. in the Procrastinator Theater in the Strand Union Building. His lecture, titled "What Can We Learn from Research About Effective Mathematics Teaching?" is part of MSU's Mathematical Sciences Colloquium Series.
The lecture is sponsored by the Department of Mathematical Sciences, the Department of Education, the dean of the College of Letters and Science, the Office of the Vice President for Research, Creativity and Technology Transfer; and the ASMSU Procrastinator Theater.
