Don Anderson, superintendent at the Montana Agricultural Experiment Station's Northern Agricultural Research Center near Havre, has announced that he will switch his focus to concentrate more on research, leaving behind his superintendent duties.
Anderson says he will take this opportunity to concentrate on completing research papers before retirement. Retirement is "at least a year or more in the future," says Anderson, who has been superintendent since 1975 and with the Experiment Station since 1966.
"It's been a great experience for me. I've been honored to be superintendent," he added.
"Don has provided excellent leadership and service to the citizens of Montana and the Northern Agricultural Research Center," said Sharron Quisenberry, director of MAES and dean of the Montana State University College of Agriculture. "We sincerely appreciate his efforts in a job well done."
Gregg Carlson, an agronomist at the station, has been named interim superintendent effective Jan. 1, 2003.
