MMEC engineer honored for service to manufacturing industry

May 20, 2009 -- From MSU News Service
Todd Daniels holds his 2009 MEP Practitioner of the Year award.
BOZEMAN -- Todd Daniels, a Montana Manufacturing Extension Center field engineer located in Helena and serving central Montana, was honored at the recent NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) annual conference in Orlando, Fla., as one of three MEP Practitioners of the Year.

Daniels won the award for his commitment to new MEP business growth services that stimulate the economy while sticking to the mission of simple and effective technologies, techniques and practices for small- to mid-sized manufacturers.

Daniels was also recognized in a recent Business Week article, "How to Build Trust in Your Business." In that article, author Doug Hall points to Daniels' ideas as an example of how companies can use testimonials to win over customers. That article is available online at http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/08_72/s0812040687646.htm.

The MEP has more than 1,600 practitioners in business and manufacturing fields who provide services to help businesses focus on growth, productivity and efficiency. The Montana Manufacturing Extension Center at Montana State University is one of 59 MEP affiliate centers across the country.
