Microsoft Office classes begin on campus Oct. 12

Wish you were better at Excel? Want to learn those cool tricks and shortcuts in Word? Or maybe you want to explore how databases can simplify your projects?
MSU employees can now learn Microsoft Word, Excel and Access through on-campus classes that begin Oct. 12 and continue through December. Courses offer nine hours of training over three sessions and cover basic, intermediate and advanced skills. Each course is $98.
The courses are offered by MSU's Extended University and take place in Room 127 of the EPS (Engineering and Physical Sciences) Building.
The Fall 2009 schedule is as follows:
Access Basic: Oct. 12 to 14, 6:15-9:15p.m.
Access Intermediate: Oct. 26 to 28, 6:15-9:15 p.m.
Access Advanced: Dec. 7 to 9, 9 a.m. to noon
Excel Basic: Oct. 14 to 16, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Excel Intermediate: Oct. 27 to 29; 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Excel Advanced: Dec. 1 to 3; 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Word Advanced: Nov. 3 to 5; 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Several other computer courses, including Word Basic and Intermediate, Microsoft Outlook, Quickbooks, and Adobe Web and graphics software packages, are scheduled at Extended University's Downtown Education Center at 20 E. Olive. All courses are also open to community members.
