Roadtrip Nation RV on MSU campus on Wednesday
October 26, 2009 -- MSU News Service
Montana State University Career, Internship & Student Employment Services is hosting the "Roadtrip Nation" RV on campus on Wednesday. Students can listen to music, watch a film featuring MSU students and talk to Roadtrip Nation representatives about the program.
Roadtrip Nation gives grants to students to travel around the country, and internationally, interviewing people that inspire them. Roadtrippers can choose to interview CEOs, mountaineers, comedians or anyone who is doing what they love. The purpose is to help the roadtrippers define their own path in life. Roadtrip Nation has evolved into a PBS series, three books, an online community, and a student movement.
"Career & Internship Services helps students explore career opportunities and find their perfect path," said Kayla Fields, Career, Internship & Student Employment Services "We want to give them as many resources as we can, including the opportunity to explore Roadtrip Nation."
The RV will be parked on the Centennial Mall between the SUB and the library from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Roadtrip Nation representatives will talk about their experiences and help students apply to the program.
An acoustic band will play outside the RV at 12 p.m. A film featuring MSU students who have participated in Roadtrip Nation will be shown in the Procrastinator Theater at 1 p.m. Entrance to the film is free.
