Seminar on Grow Montana Coalition to be held Nov. 10

Crissie McMullan, project director for the Grow Montana Coalition, will discuss "Montana Food For Montanans" Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 5:10 - 6 p.m. in room 126 of the Engineering and Physical Sciences building. The seminar is the first of several shared seminars of the Montana State University, University of Idaho and Washington State University Sustainable Food and Agriculture Systems Education learning community.
McMullan will discuss the work of the Grow Montana Coalition. Grow Montana promotes community economic development policies that 1) support sustainable Montana-owned food production, processing, and distribution, and 2) improve citizens' access to Montana foods. McMullan's seminar will highlight Farm to Institution projects and policy work, the Montana-Born "FoodCorp" program and upcoming projects and policy work affecting the local food system.
