The primary purposes of this course are to provide graduate students in Health & Human Development experiences in

1) reading & understanding professional publications from the disciplines within Health & Human Development;

2) the formal writing skills necessary for the completion of a graduate degree (both article and grant preparation);

3) and an experience in formal oral presentation of a graduate quality paper/proposal/ review of related literature.


 

 

EVALUATION PROCEDURES:

25% homework assignments* (submitted electronically*)
Abstracts of selected articles

25% formal written review of literature on topic selected by student &
agreed upon by DR. STEWART
(submitted electronically*)

25% formally written position paper-(format provided) (submitted electronically*)

25% final oral presentation (POWER POINT) & defense of
major paper/ proposal or review of related literature
